J.U.S.T.I.C.E. What is Justice? How does it feel to be delivered? We might have forgotten what really justice is. Is it retribution? Does a death penalty serves you justice? And mob lynching? Many believed that justice was delivered when the encounter happened in Hyderabad. But that just left me unsafe and disturbed. All these applauses and claps is for a society whose collective faith on law and order has failed. It just shows that people have lost their faith in this judicial system. Police killings without trials cannot be hailed as ‘justice’. As per Indian constitution, “Justice stands for rule of law, absence of arbitrariness and a system of equal rights, freedom and opportunities for all in a society. India seeks social, economic and political justice to ensure equality to its citizens.” And here, justice is not served. We need preventive measures for social security. We need a protective social environment. Everybody should be considered equal, in front of law and order. Everyone deserves a free trial. There is a difference between accused and guilty. I wish we have a powerful system that serves justice soon, which is also fair and feasible. I really wish we get justice. From an unsafe city which reported 441 rape cases in 2019. (Jan - Oct 2019).
